Title: Just won scratchers....
Post by: xrayjay on April 18, 2014, 12:59:26 PM
  8) $475 to be exact, plus another $60 on another ticket.....change of plans...

With my plan to buy new pieces for my bags, this is a good situation! I was going to stick with Storm, but this is free money - well almost...

I'm ready to choose a different company other than Storm. It's been 5 yrs or so throwing Storm and its been great/easy. But maybe there's something I've been missing out on? what is it? Not sure yet, but I'm ready to test the waters.

My mind is on Lordfield/LaneMaster and Motiv for now........ I can only choose one co., mixing it up might confuse me lol

(not mention extra $$$ from tax return after paying off CC and sears)

i would go Brunswick/DV8/Radical.

Nobody on the east coast throws LF.  Nor is it PBA approved.

Motiv has had one good ball. (Primal Rage)

Congrats on the extra payday! I have been throwing exclusively Storm/Roto as well but if I had to venture into another company, Seismic just seems like an appealing option.  I've heard nothing but good things from those who throw their stuff. I think they are a small company that looks poised to hit it big. Good luck on whatever you decide to do.

Oh wow . . everything Motiv has right now is better than any other ball on the market, and I can give you 2 or 3 reasons PER BALL against its counterpart from any other company, and specifically the Covert Revolt, Sigma Sting, Venom Shock, Tribal, and of course the Primal Rage.  Motiv had ball of the year a couple years ago with the Sigma Tour, let's not forget that.  Been in the pro shop business nearly a decade, seen and thrown a lot of stuff, and Motiv's current lineup is the best equipment I've seen since I've been in the business.

You guys make it hard to choose lol

If I were to go MOtiv...what 3 balls do you suggest? include a urethane for dry/spare ball.

I really didn't have much luck with Burns, only the older ones. I had three DV8's...wasn't happy on sport patterns...for THS, misfit pretty good.

turn 535 into 25k

At least take the leftover from a couple of balls and press that much.

Depends on your stats and how broad a lineup you're wanting to go.  The Sigma Sting is probably their most versatile aggressive ball, but that's a bit of a hard choice.  The Covert Revolt wouldn't be a bad choice there either.  Mid range/low end I'd look at either a Tribal or the new Ascent Apex.  The Tribal is ridiculously consistent for as skid/snappy as it is, and I haven't seen a video of the Apex yet, but it has a modified version of the same coverstock as the Tribal.  If you don't want something as angular, check out the Venom Toxin.  Just as controllable, just a different shape than the Tribal and Apex.  As far as a light oil/spare ball, the urethane Tank is a good one.  They also make an Arctic Sniper, which does have a urethane cover, but it's going to be on the weaker end closer to plastic.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, lets not get ahead of ourselves, for every 1 Motiv Ball I see, I see at least 10 gold balls and 20 Fusions. To add on to what the other guy said, the only I ball I see with any regualrity from them is that Red Ball, nothing else. I know a staffer with Motiv and I wont air his name in public, you can private message me to discuss and even he says the only ball worth a darn is the Red Ball.
