League Bowling
« on: August 26, 2006, 07:31:21 AM »
Is league bowling merely practice for tournament bowlers, or is it something to be taken for real. The best bowlers I see, bowl in handicap leagues for the practice and not so much to win. The other bowlers take it very serious and winning the league is the most important thing. If you are bowling more for practice and not so much for average, are you a sandbagger, or a good bowler. Take into consideration that your team winning is not much of a factor!(No Chance)

Some may look at it as practice. Me, I'm a competitor, I give it my all either on league or tourneys. When you practice, you are not as concerned with certain things about your game, and you tend to overlook some key factors that could aid you in tourneys. I look at leagues with the same intensity as tourneys. I like leagues, some excellent bowlers bowl there. Not all tourney bowlers are the best, they are bowlers just like everyone else. People fear tourney bowlers because they bowl in tourneys, feeling as though they are in a higher level than someone who does not bowl tournaments as often like myself. But I believe that I can still hold my own as I have in tourneys past, capable of beating anyone at any time if my game is on.
