Coming down to it
« on: August 26, 2006, 01:55:45 PM »
Alright, well my birthday is on September 4th, so I don't have long. I am trying to decide on a light oil ball and really have no idea. I have probably 250 revs, 15-17 MPH, like to come around the ball. I track closer to my thumb than my fingers. I was thinking about getting the Tropical. Looks good and won't cost my dad that much money. However, I have also heard that it is stronger than advertised and I need something to go under my Zone Classic in the hook category. Any suggestions are appreciated!

We're birthday brothers!  9/4 for the win!

Your pro shop guy can drill it to basically do what you want it to do.  Tell him you want it to go under your Zone Classic, and he should make it so.

If you do decide on the Tropical and want to use it for lighter conditions, drill it WEAK...and possibly change the surface.  Mine was bought for the same reasons....I had it drilled label...and it was a BEAST.  Perhaps the best ball I've thrown in a while as far as being extremely versatile, but wasn't used for what I intended to use it for.
