League Prize Fund Question
« on: August 26, 2012, 01:42:33 PM »
Our league had some turn over this year and alot of things changed due to the way a former President ran things and now we are doing the league secretary/treasury on our own instead of the bowling center running that. I was wondering if there is like a standard prize fund distribution system to begin to put together a proposed prize fund to the league. We have until the 5th week to do so, we have 16 teams (We will know tonight for sure).

Basic prizelist's will have payouts for:

Position Standing (1st place, 2nd place etc.)

Team Awards:
Team High Series scratch
Team High Series handicap

Team High Game scratch
Team High Game handicap

Individual Awards:
Mens High Series scratch
Mens High Series handicap
Mens High Game scratch
Mens High Game handicap

Womens High Series scratch
Womens High Series handicap
Womens High Game scratch
Womens High Game handicap

The above Team and Individual awards usually pay down 2 or 3 places

Mens High Average
Mens Most improved Average

Womens High Average
Womens Most improved Average

There are variations of this also and other types like ones with a  base amount for each team plus point money, or just point money alone.

There's a spreadsheet for doing a prizelist which can be found here:

The link doesn't work anymore. If you have a copy of the spreadsheet would you be willing to send it to me? I used to have it but the computer I had it on crashed and I've lost it.

Thank you.
