Title: leaving for reno tomorrow
Post by: rymacatthedisco on June 13, 2013, 09:43:42 PM
Leaving for Reno and the OC tomorrow. Taking 6 balls:

Brutal Nightmare (box) pin under ring mb kicked right
Marauder Madness (500 by hand) pin under bridge cg just about and right of thumb
Too Reckless (2000) Stacked
Diva (box) pin above ring cg in palm
Marauder (2000 polish) pin above middle finger cg kicked right
Espionage (box) pin to the right of ring mb kicked right

Hoping for some decent #'s. I haven't bowled much this summer, trying to give the wrist a break, and I am playing a lot of golf...

Will try to report what I see and how I do.

Only 3 things you have to remember.  1-Execution 2-Execution 3-Execution.
Good Luck!

Well, we got back late last night and I personally bowled awful. The pattern is definitely there to be hit and post a decent #, but I threw it terrible and missed 10 makeable spares and throw in some splits...for a huge 1707...

Team def fooled me, shot 160 game 2 when I tried to move left in the middle part of the game, (over/under was crazy) moved back right and went to a the marauder madness and shot 235 game 3...

D/S started out awful...through the face or washout, but kept grinding and grinding for a great 507 in doubles (my partner shot 695) and finished with 611 in singles.

I am not very good an playing straight, I know this, and it really hurt my chances of doing well with the group I go with. My fiance, (my doubles partner), she can throw it straight and hit the same thing twice. She WHACKED the OC for 2052. (672, 695, & 685). She literally played between 5-8 each game and maybe moved 3-4 boards the whole tournament. Simple ball changes worked for her.
