Can anyone who has thrown both of these quickly compare/contrast them? I'm looking for a ball to get down the lane easily on broken down/burnt lanes and be smooth in the back end. Preferably something to stay straighter with. Thanks
-
Lights out should be smoother and is an incredible underrated ball
-
Why not the Shout?
-
Because he asked about the Uproar and Lights Out, I'm thinking that's why he answered the question asked.
-
I asked because it sounds like it would be better for the conditions he described. The Lights Out and Uproar are both flippy in the back.
-
I wouldn't call the lights out flippy by any means. Now I am throwing it at 4000 but it's clean and smooth
-
Does anyone else have any insight on these two balls? I currently have a Lights Out which is great, was wondering if the Uproar was cleaner and more back end?
-
the reason I didn't consider the shout was because I had a scream and found it to be very rolly and stronger than I hoped for. I need something with easier length, so a solid wasn't really a consideration. Looking for something a touch weaker than my hyroad, which is why i'm even considering the lights out (despite hating my tropical heat), but I prefer a pearl to maybe mirror what my t-road pearl used to do, which is why I'm considering the uproar.

The Light out is hands down a better ball that the Heat Hybrid....Id think the Uproar would be much harder off the spot than the lights out
-
I do not know that I would go that far. The Heat Hybrid is a pretty good ball, and greatly underrated. I agree that the Light's Out is a great ball once the heads begin to break down and you have a defined burn in the back of the lanes. It is not flippy, but I would not describe the reaction as arc shape either. Just enough pop in the back to allow you to move in, but easy to read and control, much like the Heat Hybrid.

I had both and actually find the Lights Out to be a much more forgiving and much more reliable than the Heat hybrid was for me. I throw mine at 4000, no polish...

The uproar would work with a control drill. The cover is clean but with a strong drill it can be very sharp at the break.

Gonna agree with BobOhio. I use a Lights Out, and bowl on teams where guys have Lights Out and/or an Uproar. Both balls really jump hard off of the dry. We do bowl on wood lanes so I'm sure that has a lot do with the amount of hook we see w/ these 2 balls, but I would agree that there are better options if you're looking for something w/ more control.
Just my 2 cents....

Thank you Clint191. That is why I recommended the Shout and also with a control drilling. My Lights Out was able to get down the lane, but it bites pretty hard off the dry.
