what to clean ball with after sanding?
« on: July 17, 2010, 07:43:34 AM »
What's good to use to clean a ball off after sanding it on a spinner? I just use rubbing alcohol to get off all the residue that's leftover from after I sand it. Is that ok to use or is there a better method?

I use either alcohol or the nearest spray bottle of cleaner on hand. You're not removing lane dirt or oil, so it makes little difference.

like charlest said, Alcohol is good and fine.

or any regular basic cleaner (remedy rx, power wash, ebonite ball cleaner, etc etc)

you are just getting the sanded plastic off of the ball so I wouldnt go crazy. When I do clean my balls I use clean n dull and I recommend it. If you prefer a liquid cleaner I had good success with black magic rejuvenator... It doesnt get the belt marks off but it emulsifies / breaks down oil fast!
