After you leave the bowling alley, any product can be used provided it does not contain a chemical that will soften the durameter of the coverstock to make the ball unacceptable for use during the next USBC sanctioned competition.

That was my thinking last week when I posted about other cleaners. You can't take them with you and use them during competition, but they are legal to use at home.
I wasn't 100% sure though, as alot of people were saying because a cleaner isn't on the "approved list", it is illegal to use period.

Kevin -- Please post a copy of the research you have done with your products to prove they don't soften the surface of bowling balls.  Thanks  --  JohnP

All of our products have endured testing using a REX-durameter at 30,60, 120, and 1440 minutes of exposure. If you feel otherwise you can contact us directly.

Tom -- Since you say you've done this testing I'm sure you have.  But I'm curious, why not spend the $100/product and get USBC approval?  I'm still not buying until you do, I don't know how many others will do the same.  --  JohnP

Honestly, I feel the money is a waste if the product isn't on the during competition list. After contacting the USBC, and receiving the answer that I posted, I feel that the Before and After listing is even more of a waste then before, seeing as how any product can be used provided it doesn't make the ball illegal for the next competition.

If you could guarantee that Snake Oil, UFO, Resurrection would be approved on the DURING list, the check and samples would be overnighted to Texas. But I'd rather spend the money buying new packaging equipment, supplies, etc.

That is truly why we are not interested on getting on that list....as for testing...Our products have received a barrage of testing to protect our customers equipment and our assets.

OK, I give up.  I'll just have to stick with products from other manufacturers.  --  JohnP
