I just cleaned my uranium by soaking it in the sink, hot water and dawn.....this was supposed to help draw the oil out of the pores.......I then coated it with docs magic elixer..........this will keep the ball from absorbing oil too quickly...........should i expect this ball to hook more this week than it has been?

Probably not, unless you had noticed a large decrease in performance whichmade you do this procedure.
The Uranium uses Brunswick's Activator coverstock which is supposed to last longer than average.
If you have the solid or had dulled the polished pearl, you should clean the ball after every use. This helps slow down the oil absorption process. I assume you have bene using Doc's ELixir all along. This also helps them last longer.
