Title: LMB Ball Cleaners
Post by: john178 on June 26, 2017, 06:43:58 PM
Does anyone know what happened  to the LMB ball cleaners ?   Use to be able to purchase it from Buddies, but couldn't find it on their website.

Buddies told me they, LMB International, are no longer producing these cleaners.

You're welcome.

They told me there's one that's similar to the LMB cleaner, but I found its smell to be vile and toxic. Even my wife who has almost no sense of smell could tell it was terrible and asked (actually demanded) that I open all the windows and get rid of it.

It does work well, but I only keep it now in my garage for the worst of cleaning jobs. I will not use it on my bowling balls, personally. It's called Genesis Maxx. I'd advise you use gloves to protect your skin and only use it OUTSIDE the house.

Personally I stocked up on the LMB cleaner and have a couple of quarts.  The next best cleaner, that's as deep and intense without poisoning yourself, is Neo-Tac's Hook-It. Still it is VERY powerful and be careful how you use it. Clean and Dull is not really usable at the bowling alley but I use it at home, after every 9 - 15 games or so. Regular cleaning, after bowling, at the bowling alley, PLUS regular surface refreshing will go a long way towards keeping balls fresh and close to new. It will also save a lot of money, in the long run.

As are Remedy, Zapp-It and Vise's cleaner (I have used and strongly recommend all four) , but they are nowhere near as effective or powerful as LMB cleaner and Hook-it.

Vise ball cleaners seem to do the best for me.
