Any one know how to drill a ball with a 6.2 pin and a 8 inch pin ??
I have one of each.

Most of the time the ball is drilled upside down

The 6" pin I'd drill pretty normal just watch your static weights. The 8" pin depending on top weight and span could be drilled fairly normal as well.
Or as mentioned draw a line from the pin through the cg 13.5" and mark that spot. Use that as your pin. Would be 5 5" vs 8"

This technique with 8" pin works, I've done this on symmetrical balls, but wondering if asymmetrical

If the ball was asymmetrical and had an 8 inch pin, and the mass bias is always 6 and 3/4 inches from the pin, that would put the cg 1.25 inches below the mb. Is that even possible for a ball to be manufactured and end up with undrilled specs that out of whack?

I would first balance the ball and make sure the CG is correctly marked.
With the new static weight rules I doubt if statics would be over the legal limits.
I would balance the ball to get the statics I wanted and then put the pin in the direction needed.

I bought a C300 Boss Bonanza label with a 8" pin, driller put pin at 1:30 above and to the right of the ring finger and it rolled great. cg near center. I think if you put the pin on the wrong side of the VAL it will flare the wrong way, don't think you want that.
