I was watching the ladies Queens tournament on TV today and found myself wondering about the ball speeds they were showing after each shot. In the first match neither woman generated much ball speed and Nelson Burton JR. commented that the one was particularly slow. I then started watching what the speeds were and the one NB Jr. had pointed out was 18.2 and the other had speeds about 19 mph or a little more. Neither one of them were throwing over 15 mph at the pins. That speed had to be off the hand. Any of you know for sure? I could read the writing on the ball of the girl with the slower speed.
