Deployed and missing the PBA.
« on: November 01, 2009, 01:05:51 AM »
Greetings from South Helmand Providence, Afghanistan.

Anyone care to help a deployed PBA fan?

I'm out here going through withdrawls since I cannot bowl nor enjoy watching the PBA on ESPN or XtraFrame.

If anyone has any of the recent season recorded, I would like a copy (prefably on DVD).

If you can help, please PM me.

Thank you.

Thank you for your service. Unfortunately, I cannot help you - but hopefully another member can come to your assistance.

My son just left Afghanistan for Rota, Spain - he's with the 101st at Bagram.

Keep your head down, and your spirits up!

Thank you for your service. People like you are the reason I can sleep peacefully in my home without fear.

As for the P.B.A. season, you really haven't missed much, yet. The P.B.A. is having a new format this season, called the World Series of Bowling. They held several tournaments earlier this year, and are going to be broadcasting them on tape delay broadcasts.  Most of us here have already heard who won them, so it takes quite a bit of suspense out of it, at least for me.

I won't tell you who they were, just in case someone does have them available, that way it will still be fresh for you.  So far, all they have had was the womens final and the seniors final, along with a trick shot competition, so the meat of the season is still yet to be shown.

Remember this. Fight when its time to fight, duck when its time to duck, run when its time to run, and come home when its time to come home.

 And, thank you.

Thank you for all the well-wishes.

I don't mind knowing who won what tourney.  I just love to watch bowling.

I wish I could get Xtra Frame here but the connection is just way too slow.

At least when I get back, I can get a whole new arsenal.
