Hopkinsville
« on: June 23, 2008, 11:56:35 AM »
kay so heres the issue.

I am going to Hopkinsville for the Ebonite proshop training course in August.

I have flights, hotels and all that booked. EXCEPT.

I am flying into Nashville (the closest / largest) airport.

hopkinsville is about 80 miles north.

so here I am being only 20 years old, I am unable to rent a car, there is a shuttle that will cost me about 150 bucks each way....

anyone have any suggestions?

Contact the correspondance point for the clinic and ask them if they have any one else coming in around your same time at the same airport.  Or if they can recommend some type of transportation.

They may have someone locally that can pick up clinic attendees at one time on a given day.

I land in Nashville @ 930 am.

I cab it to the greyhound depot,  (15 minutes)

bus leaves @ 10:50,  I buy a tkt for Madisonville TN cause it the only
city that will drive THROUGH Hopkinsville, and ask the driver to stop
and drop me off in hopkinsville

If he won't stop, I can make a soft booking with a shuttle for a 125
dollar plan B to get me there.

for the way back,

friday night 15th

50 dollarish cab ride to Clarksville, 17 dollar bus to the airport,
spend friday night in Nashville either in the airport or a hotel.

flight leaves 10am saturday

this requires alot of help, on alot of companies parts, the biggest hitch is the cab 2 clarksville, as greyhound doesn't ACTUALLY stop in hopkinsville...

Clarksville has a shuttle that runs from the airport to clarksville that is reasonable it is called clarksville limo.  Call and talk to Brian at powerhouse and see if anyone might be staying close to you that you can ride with.

I would think Ebonite would run a shuttle for everyone coming that day??? Last time I was in Nashville airport saw an Ebonite bag coming through and it was Ron Hickland and his dad.
