changing thinking
« on: February 28, 2008, 10:10:00 PM »
I think it is time to make a change in my thinking, I am going to use old pieces of equipment in league from now on or equipment drilled to be weaker and less effective. I say this because almost this whole season I have used nwere equipment.

Nsane LevRG, Shock and Awe, Awesome Flip, Seek and Destroy is what I have used most of the season I have mild sucess best set is only 776 best game is 290. I generally see a great reaction from any of the above listed equipment, but this year the house I am bowling at is a little on the dry end so alot of gear burns up even pearl stuff, I get left and their is way to much juice and I end up with over under get right and play straighter and I go through the face.

i am gonna stat using my Hercules and Hole Pounder and their is a old Tremor in the pro shop I may drill for myself to use.

thanks had to get that out.

I am pretty with you. Personally, I shun a little "modern" equipment, because I found the very responsive coverstocks hard to control for me, especially if I want a stable game in tournament situations. Modern stuff is great, moves a lot, all the lane bling you might ask for, from the "stylish" side.
But when I look into my tourney bag, I find rather "harmless" symmetrical core ball, 4-7 years old (but in good shape), and I have a hard time replacing my trusted Trauma with its smooth reaction. I'd get this piece again at any time.
