Title: Making an arsenal, but you must use only one ball

So you need to have an arsenal, but here is the catch. You can only use one specific ball.

What would be the ball and how many balls would you have with different layouts/surfaces?

Columbia 300 Eruption.

1. 4 inch pin, pin two inches above ring finger with cg directly under. 2k abralon plus polish
2. 3 inch pin, pin under middle, cg kicked out with a low hole. 1k abralon
3. 3 inch pin, pin above bridge, cg kicked no hole. 2k abralon plus polish
4. 5 inch pin, rico, 4k surface

A one ball arsenal?   

If I had to choose one for house shots I'd look for a smooth reacting pearl, so I'd drill it pin down and then tweak surface as needed.

I would probably go with symetric core and a surface that could be tweaked easily.   Storm Frantic, or the new Brunswick Maxxed out come to mind.  I would use 3 different lauyouts.  With either would get pin up with a bit of surface on one.  The other I would go pin down with and axis hole.  Third I would go  pin down 4 x 3 with hole 2 inches down from thumb.  Minor surface adjustments as needed.

 I would go with the RISING STAR -this ball will work great on many different patterns. i would have pin even at about 2k -- another pin down at 1k - and the last one at 4k with Polish, pin even for me. of course the surfaces could be adjusted as needed. exact layouts would be discussed with my shop.

Brunswick Sapphire Zone.
1) Pin up (5" from PAP); shined up
2) Rico pattern; 2000 Abralon
3) Team USA Pattern; factory finish

One ball, many different layouts... I would have to say, right now, would be 4 Banks sitting in my bag.

1- 70x6x40, 4000 grit with Factory Finish
2- 45x4.5x85, 2000 grit
3- 55x5.5x65, 3000 grit
4- 90x3.5x65, 4000 grit

Strong symmetrical with an easily manipulated cover:
MoRich Aggressive Motion

1. Double thumb, 500 or 800 grit
2. 3.5" pin to pap, small val angle, 1000 or 2000
3. 5" pin to pap, medium val angle, 4000-rough buff
4. pin on pap, polished like a marble

I would use the Onyx Vibe and 2 would be shiny and 2 would be dull.

I have currently in my bag 3 Brunswick Wicked Sieges.
1- with a 5" pin up at box finish,
1- 5.25" pin down at 1000 sanded,
1- pin even with the fingers with a 4.5" pin and a p3 weight hole at box finish.

( I knew the dual angles for each at one time but forgot)

The Wicked Siege is by far one of my favorite balls. With these three I feel pretty good playing on any condition I come across. I know what to expect when I need to move from one ball to the next and there is no guessing. If I had another ball to try this with it would be one of the many balls that use Brunswick Activator + pearl. This is another cover that is extremely versatile and gives me a great look with a few different finishes on any condition.

I would probably go with my Rogue Cell and just use different surfaces with them.  That ball for me easily works on heavier and longer patterns but can really open the lanes up when they start to dry up.  Plus, it carries really well for me having higher speed and average revs. 

I would do one with a stacked pin down layout (heavy) and change to 2000AB, 1 that is stacked with the pin up (medium) and stay with 4000AB, and then probably do a 4x4x2 pin above ring with Xtra Shine and possibly a balance hole to cut down flare on the lighter conditions.

I'd go with three Ebonite Cyclones, and use different surfaces on each.One at 1000 grit, one at 3000 grit,and the third at 4000 grit and polished.The cyclone has a good mid level core, and the GB 10.7 is an excellent versatile coverstock.

This is a pretty cool post! interesting!

I would have several track 715T's at various drills. OOB-Polished-1000 abralon

I have two now and amazed at how versatile they are.  My 716T on the other hand is a early rolling monster.

I'd go with a few Victory Roads.  With the right layouts & surfaces it can cover anything. IMO
