Making money other than the PBA?
« on: November 05, 2003, 09:28:32 AM »
After the post about Walter Ray and him not being around I wonder what the pros do to make money when they are in slumps or in off season.  Unfortunately even a pba title will only give you about $40,000.  That isn't enough to support these guys and families and I can't picture guys like Walter Ray, Norm Duke, Jason Couch etc etc. working some crap jobs while not bowling.  I can't picture pro bowlers working at shop rites or circuit city's when not bowling.  What do you think?

Well, i dont know if most Pro's do this, but i know a good handfull of them own Bowling centers and figure if they dont make the Exemption, they can fall back on the money they make from thier Business.
