What should my next ball be?
« on: March 13, 2007, 12:33:57 AM »
I'm a stroker with 16-17 mph and 12-15 revs and I play the outside part of the lane, starting at 1st arrow and moving gradually towards the 2nd arrow as the match progresses. I'm using an old Danger Zone and a Columbia Icon-2 at the moment and my average is 205 on THS where the outside is light to medium oil. My question is, would I increase my average with a high performance ball that would allow me to play inside the 2nd arrow on heavier oil? If so what heavy oil ball do you recommend? Or if I should stick to playing like now, what mid-range  ball should I get? I'm thinking along the lines of the Vapor Zone, Roto Grip RSP, BVP Mammoth ...Thanks for your suggestions.

I'm not sure if you would increase your avg. with a new high end ball.  Get a new ball and see how it works for you.  There are a lot of really good mid-priced and high end bowling balls on the market.

Choose 1 ball you like from each ball manufacture.  Then ask and get opinions about each of those balls.

Make sure you do your research before you buy. There have been times when I purchased the latest and great ball only to find that it was a piece of junk for my game.  So really do some solid research on your next ball to make sure your happy with what you get.
