How would you improve the center you bowl in?
« on: October 03, 2003, 06:58:47 AM »
Lets say the owner of your favorite bowling alley put out a form for every league bowler to fill out.  On this form it stated that he had some money to spend on improving the center, but you could only choose ONE THING to change/add/improve.  What change would you make?

For me, my largest pet peeve are the snack bars.  I'd tell him to put in a grill and deep fryer and learn how to cook the best Greasy Cheeseburgers and Suzy Q's in town.  I'd spend another $5-10 per night if I could go in there early and get a decent meal before the league started.  In fact, if they did it right I'd show up on the nights I didn't bowl just to eat and BS with the owner and other bowlers.

I bowl 2 centers, both at least in part owned by the same guy.  A lot of money was just sunk into both centers, so not much is needed.  But at the one it would be nice to have the A/C kicked up a notch.

The other could use the ball returns backed off a little.  They sit about a foot farther into the approach than at the other house.  I bowl a Vegas league there that includes a lot of newbes who stand there waiting for their ball to come back.  If the ball returns were backed up about a foot, they would probably not be standing on the approach waiting.
