Midwest Gathering 2.
« on: August 29, 2011, 06:13:49 AM »
Ok everyone, this is the info I have as of now.

I have a date of 17 September 2011 at Bowling Green Sports Center, which is a Saturday, we can have the lanes from 12PM to 4PM, then leagues will be starting. And I have assurance's from people that work there that the lanes will be oiled, as I said before I know people that work their.

But I will need a count of heads so I can tell them how many people will be their. I got roughly 15 in the last thread, but that didn't count if you will bring someone with you. The more the merrier.

Ok Mr. Doom has come thru and we will have a ball to raffle, hope to see allot of you this Saturday.

Yes we will be selling tickets for this ball and holding a raffle of sorts, and donating the precedes to the Benefit that Monster Pike's family is going to have for his relative that had this stroke. Its for Medical bills and such. I will let you know about this as this is still up in the air.

Address, and web site.

I know I'll be crucified for this but $3 is a little high. I would expect $2 or less .. I asked about a schedule of events .. should be bowling at least two days .. group dinners/lunches and then some night life .. raffle should be free for attendees .. let someone go home with a FREE ball .. a good plan will make the second event (next year) better!!

Well on the south east coast things are a little cheaper. I should know as I lived in the southern part of Virginia for 10 years. I do miss it now and then very nice area, and NO FRICKEN HARSH WINTERS!!!!!

Well Joe this is are first time and we will see how it turns out, as of right now I only have a hard count of 7 or 8 people, but maybe more will show up, who knows. And nobody from to far away as I can tell.

Three dollars around here isn't bad at all.  Be fortunate that an alley with no comic bowl was found.  Its really hard to find one in the western suburbs without that going on.  Bowling Green has been great about no comsic throughout the years.

Yeah, good points Woz...  I was picking up a new ball once & went right to the lane with it to try the fit & bowl a few games... & bam, when the clock struck noon, the lights went out & the music ramped up... I grabbed my ball n left... w/out a refund...

That was the last time I cosmic bowled other than a charity event last winter...  We "bowled for the boobies" charity, LoL... It was great... There were shirts made up that had just about every known name for them... They were pink of course & all the ladies & guys were wearing em... That was a good time, for a good cause...  In both instances they were Brunswick Zones... gee...

Well I didn't have a camera, but we had a great time... Meeting Axewelder, sevenpin & all the others...

Congrats to impending doom on the birth of his twin babies...  The hospital booted his wife out after only a day, so he had to tend to her.  Very understandable... I guess.  LoL!

Congrats to sevenpin for winning the raffle!!  Which ball do you get again?

Maybe next time it'll get bigger...
