i hate tournaments

i bowled in a tournament last night. Shot was almost sport compliant i think they said the ratio was 2.7 to 1

First game was tough for all sides, eliminator was 140ish to make cut, high game was 227. The right side then opened up by game 3 (14 game format) and turned into a wall, meanwhile myself being one of 5 left handers in the tournament out of about 80, the left side carried down and turned into a reverse block. The right side had all the area out you wanted, while the left side had anything outside of 12 was in the channel or picking off 3. By game 7 this broke down somewhat to where i could get a bit of area, but it was near impossible to get 10 down. I was playing 18 out to about 14 if i got it out it would hang and leave a bucket, if i hit my target the ball would leave a wrap seven, if i got my shot in it was an automatic split. I certainly don't mind a demanding condition which places a premium on shotmaking, but the right side turned into a joke after 4 games. Games 10-14 i finally got enough breakdown to take out some of the OB and get a few corner pins out, which is whne i started leaving 8 and 9 pins because i had to come higher into the pocket to get a corner out. I ended the day around 70 under, about a 195 average.

Its just such a joke when i have a grind out condition for the entire tournament while the right handers blow a gaping hole into the condition to where it is as easy as just throw the ball right keep it on the lane, meanwhile if i get it outside of 12 it goes ditch if i go right its a split. Like i said i've always been an advocate of demanding shots, or sport shots, but not when one side has one and the other does not. I'm getting so sick of this happening to me in any somewhat big tournament i go to, i don't have a heap of money and it feels like i should just go, drop off my money and leave for as much of a chance as i had.

The only highlight of the day was i hit 28 mph on the radar gun twice, that was about it.

It just erks me to hear about everyone saying about left handers got it so easy, yea on wall shots we do sometimes. But how would you feel if you spend 125 bucks to get in a tournament and after 3 games see you really never had a shot while the other side has the entire lane to play with. And don't give me the answer go to any league and u'll see it with left handers, i've seen plenty of right handers spray the lane and carry the world.

It's been said before.  If the left side starts easy, it will remain easy because there aren't enough guys to change it much.  On a harder condition, the right side will usually open up faster.  Sometimes it's to your advantage, sometimes you have little chance of competing.  Tournaments are getting to be a real crap shoot.
