As always, my answer is it depends on your style and the amount of oil you're facing. There is no one answer fits all.

@ Charlest, just like in my original post, for what the balls are designed for. ex..some are more midlane and some are more BE, designed for. Question was, of the balls out there, which ones are designed to give the most extreme change of direction. If you must know a style, Cranker 17-17.5 mph. 350-400. My OP didn't ask for particular bowler. Why do all these questions baffle people instead of sticking to the original question/topic. And as far as conditions, THS.

To be honest, some styles cannot take advantage of some manufacturers "skid/snap" balls the same as others.  For me and my style, the old BVP Punisher from Brunswick was extremely skid/snap, made a left turn upon seeing any friction.

High-speed bowlers may be able to see a more defined skid/snap type reaction from a typical hybrid-type ball reaction than a pearl-type.  I see a lot of bowlers who do not throw the ball in a way to get a good reaction from balls like a Hyroad Pearl.  But the Hyroad is skid/snap for them.

And to compound issues more, each manufacturer's most extreme skid/snap ball are not the same.  A Hyroad Pearl is probably more skid/snap than a Motiv Primal Rage.  But the Primal Rage is Motiv's current skid/snap choice.

I couldn't answer the question as asked because it was not well defined. I gave the only answer possible to the question as stated.

THS is nebulous since house conditions vary from dry to medium-heavy oil.

On light to medium-light oil, I'd pick the Ascent Apex.
On Medium oil I'd probably pick the Mastermind Scholar or the Hyper Cell Skid.

According to Bowling this month, the Paranoia is more of a skid/snap ball than even the Primal Rage. If you are measuring skid/snap as a combination of length+back end hook potential anyway.

For all current balls, it looks like the 900 Global Dream Big Pearl is the current "King of the Hill".

Layout and lane conditions are huge factors but in my hands its either the Mastermind Scholar or Melee Jab

Yeah, the Paranoia is a skid/snap monster. But in a good way. A teammate of mine has one and it gives him the best look I've ever seen him have. Just don't miss inside with it, it's not going to hold.  ;D

Yea, it's a beast. When I first got mine, I thought "Now when the hell am I going to use this ridiculous thing?" Until I needed to move WAY left, and then I saw the light! She will come back from just about anywhere.

The Mastermind Brainiac is a good choice for a skid / snap type of reaction. I can throw it to the right and it doesn't quit through the pins.
