Have you had a chance to compare the Marvel Pearl in Idol Pearl?  I have not thrown the Idol Pearl.  I have the Marvel Pearl, even have a NIB in hiding.

Yes, Idol Pearl is more downlane and better opening up the lane. The Marvel Pearl is better in the track and going straighter, depends on how you see the lane.

With gb3 pearl I can play up the boards or move inside, even on a fresh shot.

I have had 2 marvel pearls and just tried a Idol Pearl.  Marvel pearl was great on long sport patterns where I could play direct and take advantage of its rolly nature.  Idol Pearl has a different look but is also best when I can go more direct.  Hyroad Nano has been better than both when I I need to go away  from the pocket .

I had two different Hy-Road Nanos, didn't care for either one.  Tried multiple surfaces on both.  I do love the Idol though for that slot.

Idol Pearl faces up really hard off the spot but it shortens the "window" down lane so it isn't very forgiving to release errors.

That's at least what I'm seeing. Super low RG Pearls are usually a dead nut because they get the ball into a stronger roll before it changes direction. It makes it very easy to go up the lane and inch your way in through transition.

Brunswick Inferno Remake is another underrated one.
