Naming My Pro Shop
« on: July 19, 2009, 01:26:55 AM »
Hey everybody!

I have an opportunity to open up a shop in a high velocity center. I have been pondering a couple names, but know you guys and gals are all better at the naming process.

I don't want to be complicated....
...clean and catchy or to the point.

There are alot of proshops out there and am trying not to duplicate another shop's name.

If, by chance, I choose somebody's suggestion...I will contact via private message and would like to reward that person.

Any help is appreciated...and I hope it's fun. Cuz it's been stressful for me!

I would simply use your NAME...  Example...  Stan Smith's pro shop...  This way people will know who you are...And to a ball driller,  it's good to be known by  your name....

I just thought of an interestingly catchy name: "The Foul Line"

Slogan: "Getting there is half the adventure" or "Where it's OK to be square"

Call me crazy, but it sounded good to me!

Haha, thats a good one, and to add to it, you could have a buzzer go off everytime someone walks through the door! I love it!

One of the reasons we named our center Striking Cat Bowling Lanes is that there were several bowling centers named Holiday Bowl, Holiday Lanes etc.  Seems to be popular in Oklahoma. Striking Cat people say what in the world does that mean. They remember it.  It's easy to get a pro shop lost in generic naming.  Make bowling part of the name but use something different to get attention, otherwise you look and sound like everyone else.
