NE Illinois BR Get Together...

How many people interested in having a "Get Together"...

Bowling, Ball Exchange. BS. GOLF?


DATE: JUNE 2 -- 12 noon - 3 pm

I think I'd like to toss my hat into the ring for a bowl/golf daytrip.  I'm around a 15 handicapper so don't go thinking about shooting 60-something in a Nassau tourney!

well you would love the elks,  most greens are elevated and have false fronts, sides and backs.

as for bon viant.  the north course greens are super small and the bunkers
are super large.  the south course is just plain long.  about 7100 from blue tees.

If there was a Bowling/Golfing day, id have to pass on the Golf. I have never picked up a golf club my entire life. Id look completely goofy on the course, probably wouldnt get the ball past 50'.

Oh, another idea.

This would be a great time to try and sell or trade off some of your other balls laying around collecting dust. I'm gonna be bringing 2 maybe 3 balls.

All are 15#.

Back to the top for those who are interested and an update.

Today I looked into the Event Schedule for the lanes, Theres a birthday party planned for that day but its later in the day. Looked like it was from 9pm-midnight. So it looks like 11-12 start time till when ever is going to be okay.

Im going to talk with Pete Gochis tonight hopefully about June 2nd, see what he says about putting down a fresh shot. All I need to know is how many lanes do we need?? The house is a 24 lane house, im thinking 6-8 lanes at the most.

6 lanes should be plenty.  I think that's the most we've used for one of these.

Okay, I talked to Pete tonight about June 2nd. He is glad to host the event for us. I already have the last 6 lanes on reserve for us with what ever PBA Pattern will be for that week. He does not do the $1.00/games on the weekends but he can setup a special for us. Something like $12 for 3 hours time. This pricing will be worked out by wendesday night before he leaves for 10 days to Myrtle Beach. I doubt he will set the price over $14 for the 3 hours.

So it is in the books for June 2nd at noon-3PM.

ill prob be bringin a few of my friends up with me...just to bowl with everyone and have a good time...looking forward to this...how much are the games gonna be...and hopefully its a sport pattern even though i dont mind sunsets thb....its pretty easy lol

Mike, is there any way we could have a couple lanes with a THS?  I remember at Arlington when we played the sport shot, it was refreshing to then move over to the THS when we all got tired of looking bad.
