Ball Release
« on: July 11, 2005, 12:07:31 PM »
Lately I have been working on my game a lot. On Sunday night I went bowling with my cousin who bowls on my league team. I kept missing my target board by a large margin and I was slipping off my shot. I was also getting a very early reaction. My cousin watched me and he said that I was releasing the ball much earlier than I was before. Can releasing the ball too early cause you to miss your target and make the ball roll earlier?

No more wrist guard. No more inconsistency. Which way would you go?

Releasing the ball earlier is a probably of a sypmptom of something else your doing. I'm pretty sure its somewhere within your approach that causing you to release the ball earlier. Watch your timing and the pushaway.

I have no issues with my timing. It was working great up until last night. That one error with early release made me miss left. What would I do if releasing later doesn't work? Oh yeah, I only slipped maybe twice; once was because someone using easy slide and the other because my thumb stuck in the hole. Forgot to mention that. Thanks for the help.
