Need some help.

Hi, I am in a major slump. Been there before, but this is slightly different.I've been battling some heavy physical problems.One is pre-c cells. Anyway i'm on tons of meds.I was on prednisone for about 3 years.It gave me strength enough to still bowl a little.I had to quit taking it because of side effects. Anyway, while I was on them I could throw the ball around 16mph.I had strength enough to hold a firm wrist and I was averaging around 225ish.Since i've been off them, I struggle to average 14mph get dead tired and quite honestly, am struggling to hit my mark or stay firm at release.I use 16lb equipment.Well, since my strength and stamina are lowered big time I guess I've falling into the bad habits world.Here's the thing, I have tried everything,holding the ball in different spots, foot speed whatever.I can't get any timing at all.I can't hit the ball like I want or physically place the ball where I want. I am also slamming the ball into the lane like hitting a sledge into it.I'm 6'5 and my body just doesn't work like it used to. I tried to practice today and it was a nightmare.Nothing worked.Now I have to sub tonight and my mind is spinning.Should I take a smaller first step, push away better AHHHH!.I'm very competitive, I want to bowl well! My body and now my mind are so stressed, any fast ideas? Oh I would move down to a lighter lb ball ,but most of my medicines are barely covered if at all, so money is not there.Thanks for the help.Sorry for the rant.Even if I don't score well, I can sort of deal with that,but when I can't bowl well I just can't stomach that.Thanks again everyone!

Mental problems with bowling can be overcome. It's the physical problem that you have that would have to be corrected first. You may want to ask your doctor if there are any healty supplements that you can take to get your stamina up. Going down in ball weight can also help. Maybe you can pick up a used 15# or even a 14# ball on here to try out.

Once you feel strong enough to bowl, the mental part should work it's way out naturally.
