Has anyone got an honor score but never received anything?
« on: March 18, 2006, 09:56:41 AM »
Ok, I shot a sanctioned 299 last year in a summer league, during league. The secretary turned in the paperwork and that was that. After numerous phone called to USBC ( who does nothing except give you a number to the local office ) and calling the local office numerous times no one seems to know nothing. Assuming I trust the secretary, and I do, he turned it in to the office 2 more times and still nothing is on bowl.com. In fact, , my 296 I got last December in a different league was put on the website withen a month! What steps can I take now? Does the house keep records of the league scores? I think it sucks because I shot it fair in square and now realizing there may be nothing I can do.

My guess is your association dropped the ball...many of them become even more useless during the summer than they are during the regular season.

As my situation is slightly different I know what your saying. Shot the leauges highest series of the year and it was the only 700 for the leauge. I never got anything stating High Series nor did i get a 700 patch. The leauge i was in was sanctioned also. I dont really care for the cheaper stuff like patches or anything... You need to contact that leauges secratary and have him get on the ball!

When I shot my 300, I got the Ring, but the recognition of getting the award never comes up on Bowl.com no matter how many times I check. Oh well, it isn't that big of a deal anyway.

Oh....

one more thing I forgot to mention. At the time, I had a current membership with ABC from 04-05. The ones that joined this summer league that didn't have a membership had to have a new membership under "USBC". I was told a couple of times from the local office that the ABC awards were being delayed and this and that and would take awhile. Well, it's March now and it would be ridiculous for them to acknowledge it now. All I know is I have no plaque and no entry into the database.

A few years ago in juniors I had the last 11 for 290.  I submitted the award two times PERSONALLY, I was the secretary/president, etc of the league.  it was a summer league.  I never got the award, though it was just a crummy certificate, I still wanted.  To this day, I still don't have an 11 in a row award, but do have three 300's.
