House creates it.  It's the thing to do if you are a propreitor to keep the over inflated ego's intact.  If done correctly you can play a multitude of trajectory's into the pocket and score big time!  Also known as a carry fest.

thats good stuff, never really thought about it, but to me it would seem like people that bowl really well would want a challenge.

That's the key phrase there "people that bowl really well" DO probably want a challenge. Walled up house shot helps people that DON'T really bowl well think that they do.....
