Bounty surface question

Does anybody know what Global use's to put the finish on the Bounty? I'm asking because the surface pattern is random tight circular arcs. I haven't seen this surface pattern on any other ball.

In the manufacturing area there is a complex number of machines and steps that are used and followed to manipulate different surface characteristics.  During the finishing process 900 Global shells are first cut down using a specially designed shell lathe and then cleaned and subject to sanding machines.  These sanding machines use both orbital 3M Trizact sanding discs and various Abralon pads.  It is the combination of BASF urethane, equipment used, and process techniques that allow a smooth transition between surface sanding results.

Thanks. I thought it had to be something orbital but wasn't sure of the medium used.

states right on the box that it is 1000 alabron.

I think he was asking what was used (i.e. machine used, be it Haus or some in house equipment) to get to the box finish.

He specifically notes in his topic that it is in regards to 'random tight circular arcs'

What creates this phenomenon, I think is his question.

If you looked at the Bounty surface under a magnifying glass you would see it's not a standard 1000 abralon finish. There are no normal sanding lines on the ball. Everything is random and short. If this could be duplicated at home you could have a surface with no line orientation.

Haus or cook sphere machines are mostly what I would think would be used.
