... Some of the bowling balls I didn't have the skill to use when I started bowling.

Musing over the post in the Lane #1 forum about matching up and balls that are duds, I got to thinking about equipment I owned that was too good for me.

I started bowling in 2002 and like many who get the bug, I bought a lot of bowling balls before I could even get the ball down the lane with any real skill.  So here's my list of balls I wish I could throw again (if they were my current weight) ...

Storm Ultra Hot
Morich Labyrinth
Quantum Helix (lefty)
Columbia Icon
Brunswick Monster SmashR
Brunswick original Inferno

Anyone else experience this kind of remorse?  You had the equipment but lacked the skill, so a ball's true value was lost on you.

Here's a couple bowling balls I wish I never got rid of.

Hammer 3-d high rev off set(probably one of the best bowling balls ever made)

Track Animal (wish I would of kept one of them since I had a few)  Just a great particle ball.

I bought a Storm El Nino when I started bowling more competetively, and at that time the ball was a beast.  This has to be in 1998 or 1999.

The first game out of the box I shot a 258, then couldn't find success with it at my home house.

My dad let his bowler friend borrow it about 5 years ago, and I never got it back.  It's probably been plugged and redrilled and sitting in a closet somewhere

I've got 3 I wish I still had...

Track Hex...had 2 of 'em...never matched up to the 2nd one because I really couldn't match up to what the drilling had to offer...would be intrigued to see what it would do now

Blazing Inferno...same as Hex

Vendetta Black...I think I got something similar to it so I just pushed it to the side...ended up giving it away

The SD-73 Pearl by RotoGrip.  I probably would still have it if the core had not separated causing it to hit like a pillow.  It actually went straight into a dumpster.

I also love my Ragin' Red Fuze, but I KEPT mine! Also bought a NIB 14# one which I kept for three years and recently sold to a friend. He loves it too.
