Was browsing bowling videos on youtube and came across this.  It stuck out because this girl has been to our town several times with many other Columbian national team members to work with Rick Benoit.  Super fun to bowl with and talk to, they've all bowled with our scratch league a couple times, and they're all great bowlers.  Rocio is one of the standouts, so this really isn't surprising, she's definitely capable of competing at a high level with the best in the world.  Good for her!

But... But... She just signed up as a sub the day before with an random team?  It's not supposed to be possible to score well without 9 other people helping you groove a shot.   ::)

Excellent shooting; even better that she did it completely on her own.

Lmao, that's funny . .  She's definitely one of the people you want to root for, loves competition, and doesn't have that I'm better than you attitude, and I think that comes across in the video.

Haha, funny, but not quite a logical statement.  There is a significant difference between the two shots:

Women's Champ: 40 ft, 1:4.32
Open Champ Team: 41 ft, 1:2.57
Open Champ Dbl/Sgl: 39 ft, 2.37

Also, most women already play the same part of the lane.  There aren't as many different lines being played.

That said, I saw Rocio bowl in the 2011 Women's Open in Dallas and she is a great bowler.  I am not surprised one bit.  Maybe this will give her some confidence heading into this year's Open.
