Ball Pricing????
« on: July 25, 2005, 01:29:14 AM »
I'm in the middle of a ball league.  The choices of payment are $16 per week get you a plastic ball, pair of shoes, or $50 off anything in the pro shop.  $19 per week get you any ball or bag up to $179. For $22 per week you can get any ball except the uranium buzzsaw.  They don't keep a lot of balls on display or list prices.  I went into the league thinking I could get a Big time or a Violet gargoyle for $179.  The pro shop got a new shipment in and I saw the Big Time in the window for $200...This seems a little high to me.  What are your experiences with pricing and ball leagues?  Does that seem high to you?

I think 200 for the Big Time, whether drilled or not, is at least 40 bucks more than it should be.  Here in NJ (where stuff is way too expensive anyway) I could get a Big Time drilled for about 150-160 with grips and slugs.

That's what I thought...Usually pricing at the other shop I use is about $70 over buddies...currently listed at $90.  So I figured in about $160-170 for the big time....and it's listed at $200.  Any ball suggestions since my idea went out the window?  I'm currently throwing a Xcel particle.

If you are wanting something close, but close/under your Xcel Particle, look at a V2 Sanded, V2 Power even the V2 Strong/R.

I was looking for a more "medium" oil ball...When I checked my original post, I said Big Time, what I meant was Big Time Pearl...thanks for the suggestions, and sorry about the lack of/incorrect info.
