Non 300 bowlers
« on: November 09, 2006, 03:05:44 AM »
I'm curious, with all the great bowlers on here with multiple honor scores, how many people have yet to bowl their first 300?

I've never done it.  257, I think, is my highest.  I had the front 7 once, then left an 8-10.

I havent bowled a 300 yet. I have come close by striking the front 8/9 frames. I always blow it at the end by pulling the shot or trying a bit too much to keep it going. I got close to a 700 series, but fell just short. Stupid split!

add me... a bunch of 279's including a killer one this past tue.  front 7 solid shots, 8th got it out alittle far came in to strong solid 9 pin.  Dead flushed the 9th and filled the 10th. That one hurt, its the first 279 game were I feel like i didnt throw a bad ball all game.

I'm more apt to go back 10 than I am front 9.  In fact, it was actually my first PWBA SW regional event before I got the front 9.  The only time I threw 12 in a row was, ironically enough, in a no-tap event that followed the close of a season.

I tend to hang a single pin somewhere in the first three or four frames...

Add me to that list. I've have a 289, a 279, a 267 with eleven strikes and one missed ten pin. Maybe someday. OH...I did have a 300...in no tap.

I've averaged over 200 for the last 15 years with a high of 217 in 1994 and still have not been able to shoot 300. I've had the first 10 several times and have thrown good balls on the 11th but cannot seem to get that one to carry. I've had 289 several times with a high series of 784. I'm not getting any younger but I will keep plugging away, some day it will come.

3 sanctioned 299's. Numerous 279's, 289's and 1 280. Had the front 9 in the first game last night and..........bam, 4 pin. Just not destined to get one.

Ooooo I am a member of this club.  I have a 277, 278, and 279 to my credit, but no 300.

I came real close in no-tap 297.
