This could be lengthy but I'll try to keep it short.
I posted a few times about house hacks and THS wall shots. I couldn't find all the links but here's one;
http://www.ballreviews.com/Forum/Replies.asp?TopicID=187053&ForumID=16&CategoryID=5People complain about how easy THS conditions are and what-not. Well I was complaining too but what good does that do? Besides, if THS wall shots are so easy then why was I just averaging 205 on them? Not only that, other people complaining about THS wall shots are not caring a real high average either. I don't bowl tournaments and if I do happen to bowl in one, it will be scratch. So what harm will it do to "inflate" my average?
As I was talking about on the other link, I had league night tonight with my new ball, Columbia Resurgence.
The lanes had more oil than in the first half of the league. I played 10 board at arrows to about 5-6 board at break point. The line held all game and I shot 268. Left a 7 pin and solid 9 pin.
The 2nd game my line was drying out. 2nd ball hit high for a split. Moved deeper but tried playing a tight line instead of the "area" THS gives. Hit lite pocket for 10 pin, missed spare. Threw lite again for another split. Finally in the 8th frame I played the "area" with a little more swing and hook. Went off the sheet for 204. Transition was still happening so I moved deeper in the 3rd game. Played 14 board at arrow out to about 10-8 at break point. Shot 249 last game for 721. Looks like my new Resurgence ball will allow me to play the "area" shot on THS conditions. I just need to figure out that transition from the end of the first game to the middle of the second.
