Vintage LT-48 vs Black blue spike

Looking for a good almost dry lane ball.  Interested in opinions, kind of decided on one of these but open to suggestions.  Already have a desert hook from 900 global for totally burnt conditions, looking for something a little stronger but not to strong.

If you like your desert hook then the 900 Global Boost series would be a nice step up. Cant beat the performance for the price tag. I believe both of the other balls you mentioned would be a little too strong for what you are looking for.

I can't say about the LT-48, I am sure its a fine ball but have no experience with it. But as far as Hammer goes, for the dry, my line up is True Blood, Spike original (Blue/Orange), Spike (Black/Blue) in that order.

have a feeling these balls are stronger than advertised, thus maybe the orange blue spike would be better

The LT-48 is not a weak ball by any means.  The longer I've had mine the more I realize that point.  It is pretty smooth, as far as reaction, but I wouldn't use it on the dry because the Strike Kings handle that condition better.

The Spike Black/Blue can handle drier lanes and some medium conditions. It's a good ball and stronger than advertised in my opinion. If you are looking for something to handle extremely dry lanes this isn't the ball for you.
