One of the best dry lane balls of all time

Have one (Morich Mojave) and love it.  Tempted to grab this one but gotten enough new stuff for holidays.  Want to share the love.  This ball is worth this price imo if you see a lot of friction and want some controlled punch down lane.

I had one, but it turned out to be a hit or miss for me - I had occasions when it worked like a charm (IIRC, I played one of my highest personal 4-series with it, beating a local house hack), but just as often it was pretty erratic around the breakpoint, kind of a yes/no traction off the dry affair (Urethane seems to work better for me and my game on dry/light lanes). IIRC it had/has a Brunswick coverstock from the N'Control family, the same as the contemporary BVP Punisher.

Thanks again Dizzy as like reading your Big B posts.  I think the N'Control derivative was on the Sahara and Mojave had PK17.  Have nothing nice to say about N'Control balls I have had including a PG Dry/R that hits like a pancake plastic ball or first gen Avalanche pearl I had that was an over under nightmare that mercifully cracked.  If I am being honest I actually think my entry level Slingshot (also PK17 and an underrated ball imo) is even better than the Mojave after game one in the dry house I bowl but that is probably mostly due to my inconsistent release getting punished more by the Mojave core when there is more friction.  Mojave has a nice little kick for me down lane though that helps the turn on the "fresh" but yeah can get a little squirrely later in a block (but again operator error part of it).  Did pretty good with a Purple Hammer the season before so might well go back to urethane as well if can't get my release sorted here between seasons.  Still Mojave is a neat ball for those who want a dry lane ball with a decent engine.

2  best dry lane balls fir me were the Battle Zone Cannon, and Blue Thunder.  Both great back when we saw longer formats and you often ended up super deep after at the end of the day.  Also good blending out wet dry or screaming fresh back ends on flatter patterns

I loved a Stinger 2 Piece pearl pin 5.5 inches from pap with 2 coats of control it on it. Next best was a AMF Scamp pin 5.5 inches from pap above the fingers. I tried that on a Desert Heat and it was too little.

My go to ball post-resin era was a pin on axis Ninja RPM, kept very very shiny. The more I hit it, the straighter it went!
