Genesis Elevate foam cleaner
« on: January 13, 2017, 07:14:07 PM »
For anyone that used the Elevate foam cleaner by Genesis, is this similar to the Maxx cleaner or any of the stronger cleaners like That Purple Stuff? Might pick up a bottle of it but depends on how unique it is.  Ever used a foam cleaner so I don't how long they last versus a spray cleaner.

FYI That Purple Stuff is nowhere near as strong as Genesis Maxx.
The only foam cleaner I have used is Valentino's Remedy. Even then, a foam cleaner is just a device attached to the dispenser of  any regular cleaner that makes it foam. The foaming does help cleaner adhere to the ball's surface better instead of just running off to the side as do many normal spray tops.

I definitely agree about TPS being much stronger than the Maxx. I don't think Genesis bowling gave me a definite answer as to whether the Elevate is just clone of the Maxx but as a foam.

I said Genesis MAx is much stronger than the Purple Stuff. In fact, every good cleaner I own is stronger than the The Purple Stuff.

Sorry, I was typing it wrong. When you use the Maxx, do you prefer spraying it. first on the ball or on the towel and then wipe the ball? I felt like the first one I bought last spring it seemed to evaporate far too quickly. Plus, it smelled just like nail polish remover, which I found odd. When I contacted Genesis about it, they said it doesn't have a smell like that. I'm willing to try it again since I do like the Hydro and Intense cleaners.

I prefer spraying it on the ball to enable the cleaner to work on the oil and dirt before I wipe it off. I prefer doing that with all cleaners. Some oil and dirt needs time to be emulsified by the cleaner; wiping it off too soon doesn't give it  chance to work.

Maxx does smell almost "dangerously" toxic to me also. I stopped using it for that reason. (Once I used it in my den and my wife, who has a terrible sense of smell, smelled it from 3 rooms away. She made me open the windows to get rid of the smell.)
I only tried it because a proven source said it was the same formula as the best cleaner I know about: Lane Masters Extreme performance cleaner. Unfortunately they stopped production; but I have a good reserve. So I'll continue using that; it has a much, much less strong smell.

Genesis Intense has a much safer smelling and is fairly effective for use immediately after or during bowling.

I'll probably buy both cleaners this weekend to see how the Elevate cleans on my solids like my Forza and Revolt Havoc. I'm almost out of TPS and I don't plan on buying another bottle (at least until they improve the smell and price).
