Shoe slide sock question
« on: March 05, 2006, 09:33:15 AM »
Does anybody know if they make these things in extended sizes??

Looking for one to fit a size 14 shoe, and the "one size fits most" doesn't fit a size 14 shoe..

If not, has anyone had any luck making any of their own?

Thanks for the help...

Yes we do!!!  We have made them up to size 20! and regularly make them up to 16. No probems at all.  www.bowlersslidesock.com or 1-866-323-7576 and leave a message and we will call to confirm orders.  There is a big difference between what Deadbait suggest and our products.  It's not about being slick it's about being a correct slide.

We stock both products and the product Smash sells is far superior to anything we have sold and are currently selling. I have one on all three pair of my personal bowling shoes. Like an American Express Card, I don't leave my house without one.

Smash49's product is great.  It slides a little more than regular bowling shoes, but the great thing is that it slides the same every time despite approach conditions (within reason).  I can't believe folks that are willing to put $150+ in a pair of shoes but aren't willing to try a ~$15 slide sock first.  --  JohnP

Added on edit:  They made one to fit my size 15EE's, and if I remember it cost an extra $1 for the custom fit.  And I've been using it now for almost two years, at least six games per week.  When the first side wears out, just turn it inside out and you've got a new sliding surface.  Smash49  --  I'll be ordering a new one soon.

Thanks Everyone!  You are are the best!

The workshop is humming tonight!  We just made a size 20! Bowler's Slide Sock for a customer and we're going to put the pictures of it on the website.  We'll have it next to a normal and a size 4 that we also custom maded soon.

i can say that it is a great product.  i have used the slide sock for over a year now and it is still going strong.  last week in my sport league, everybody was complaining about the sticky approaches (big rain storm outside).  i perhaps got a little less slide than normal, but no big problem at all.  got a few for some friends of mine as well and they are using it successfully.

I agree with what Jim (bowl400) said above. My slide sock is now 13 months going strong. Robert is a great guy and I bought a slide sock for my friend before we left for this year's MegaBuck events in Vegas. You won't be dissapointed!
