Hey, could you guys check out my web site and give me some feedback?

I have something in most all of the sections, just maybe some suggestions
on making it look better??  More sections??  

I'm going to buy a new digital camera this weekend, got lots of stuff to
do with that.  Some suggestions on what kind of video camera to buy would
be nice too, hopefully in the $400 to $600 range???

Who is your webhost?  Very slow to load for a page that is mostly text.  I would recommend implementing a content management system like drupal.  Many of the budget web hosts offer Drupal or others like Joomla or even WordPress. It will be much easier to make updates and manage all of the apsects of the site.

i had the pleasure of finally meeting mike austin at a pba regional tournament several months ago----he's really likeable with a good sense of humor. how are things in oklahoma city buddy ?

I'd recommend getting a hard drive based camera so you don't have to fumble with tapes, plus it will hold alot more than a tape can. I recommend anything sony or canon. Check out newegg.com for good prices.

As for the website, I agree with Urethane Game. I just redid mine with Joomla, making it a whole lot easier to update and it looks more professional than using front page.

Could you say that again in English??

I tried to start with Joomla, but I guess I am not software literate enough to know where to start.  I downloaded a user guide that cost like $30, but it didn't really help any.  The Joomla is supposed to be free, but I was kinda lost.

My web host is Yahoo.  Bar5003 (Britton) turned me on to this.  It was fairly easy and now that I have done a number of pages it has become very easy.  They do have a number of other options, but I haven't begun to explore them yet.

OKC is okay.  They don't have much traffic, I like that!  Just been working out some, gotta lose some weight.  Baby sitting my grandson, and shuttling my Mom in law to the doctor.  Haven't had time to bowl or look for a job.

Hey Bruce P. if you see this call me.  My cell phone is on again.  Oh yeah, lost my cell phone last week.  Don't realize how much you have to have one of those stinkin' things until it is gone.

I concur with Greg on this. Mike is a great guy and is pretty damn funny to boot. I am glad he is in Oklahoma City...although I am not sure he is. OKC does kinda suck. LOL

I'm glad to be here.  I just can't pro shop like I did in Houston.  I was very busy year round, it just isn't that kind of bowling population here.  But, they have beer, strip clubs, movies, sushi, and bowling center(s), so it will be all fine!!  LOL!!  Just don't let my wife see the strip club comment, she will really think I go to them.

Your site definitely loaded quite slowly for me during the day as well.  It could have just been congestion, but I am not aware of how good a host yahoo is.  As far as the site, it's alright but simple.  (You'll have to excuse me, because I work in web design.)  I can see you did it yourself using some sort of editor or whatnot, as it uses some very basic techniques.  The problem with those editors is the code is often clumsy and "dirty," not very well optimized.  If you would like some assistance, feel free to contact me, as I may be able to help design something a bit on the "fancier" side.
