Title: PBA 300 ring on Ebay
Post by: applegam on November 14, 2004, 11:33:21 PM
Has anyone else seen that there is a PBA 300 ring on Ebay?  It has 2 days to go and is at $535.00!   Why would someone spend that kind of money for a 300 ring they didn't even earn?  I guess it's time to go dig mine up out of the basement......

I'm not sure why anyone would want these, but maybe they buy them for memorabilia purposes. Kinda like baseball cards or baseballs or whatever. That's the only reason I can think of to purchase such things. But spending 535 dollars is a bit rediculous.

I personally prefer to earn my PBA 300 ring.  Closest I've come so far is a PBA 276.

The person who buys it (and every person who bids on it) is the one who doesn't have the game to earn it.

The acution doesn't state who's it was, but I'm sure you could find out.  I doubt it was a "legends".  After your first 300 game in the PBA, you get a diamond for every one after that to mount on the ring.  This one doesnt have any diamonds.

Yeah it's very nice
Plus the reserve is not met. Does this person expect to fetch a grand?

A gold ABC ring is about $500.  I don't know if a large size PBA ring costs more to produce or not.  If you were selling something, wouldn't you try to make a profit?
