Title: Petersen Honor Roll - 1921 to 2015
Post by: Bowls 300s on July 25, 2022, 09:03:15 AM
Posting as a general for discusion / opinions.

IDK but when I look at these standings over the years kinda looks likes the pre-50s bowlers had more game then us now with their primitive straight balls and on lacquer and shellac finishes.

Check it if interested here. http://www.petersenclassic.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/Pete-History-thru-2015_editable.pdf

A lot of records were set on shellac pre 1950.  They lasted for many years.  If those scores were a measure of skill it would make bowling the only activity where players didn't progress over the years.
