Is there a plastic ball that you might recommend for extra, extra dry lanes? I've tried almost everything with no luck. I have a plastic spare ball that I keep highly polished for right side spares (I'm right handed) and I know it won't hook at all and I don't want it to. Maybe a plastic ball sanded?
Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure what you're asking... Are you looking for a plastic ball to use on the burn for strikes?
-
Ebonite makes two plastic balls with seriously strong cores under Hammer and Track brands.

That's right. Something to use as a strike ball on an ultra dry condition.

Well, if they're ultra dry, your spare ball will work. There's enough friction somewhere on the lane to get it into a roll. Now if you're looking for flare, then a plastic with a core would work, but you're still going to need to keep the ball from flaring too much

Storm Mix might also be worth looking into. Its a pancake but can get some flare with extra static weights allowed under new rules. Plus will last much longer than plastic. Been impressed with mine.

+1 on the Mix. Take it to 1000 and on the dry it will hook, I guarantee it.
One of my teammates has one at just that grit and uses on late shift- and he has little hand.

Thanks all.

Thanks all.
Dude, this is my life. The short oil dry lane, it sucks SO heres what I did
Hammer Black Widow Spare. Big core, goes straight elsewhere. Its not going to overhook, trust me. Even on those awful conditions I still have to reduce speed a bit
My strike balls when theres a smidge of oil are the Motiv Rebel Tank & Brunswick BTU pearl. Those are discontinued & unfortunately I dont see any things like those on the market right now. I tried a Brunswick Twist but it hooks a bunch on the short & dry more than those 2. I wouldnt mind trying the DV8 tactic control though.
DEFINITELY get the Widow Spare though, its awesome on the dry
