RPS Elite aren't going...I'm the only one who wanted to bowl.

Got the entry form here, but can't get it off until I find another player

Played Counties team there last year.(Hollywood Bowl Bradford) If its the same bowl you have a Holiday Inn express right on the doorstep. They do a deal for bowlers too.
Only thing is if you go the night before they have a casino there too so take plenty of cash Multi story car park right on site too.
Pretty wet conditions, Paul Moor liked them but Stu Williams ended up kicking his last ball of one game down the lane. Can be tough as I dont remember anyone averaging above 220 on the day and you know how Paul Moor can average especially playing for Yorkshire.
Aproaches were tacky and I mean tacky everyone had a problem early on.
I had a tough day due to the aproaches but managed to average mid 180's which wasnt bad considering I couldnt slide and I usually slide about 2 feet. 2 pocket 7 - 10's in one game too. I even had 2 soles on. One on my foot and one on my heel and that only helped a bit.
Expect it to be tough but a good day out.

Cheers Star,

The approach problem is something we have to put up with over hear, it goes from one extreme to the other, I will take plenty of sole and heal variations.

They will probably have two oil patterns one for team and one for pairs/singles and idea what surface synthetic/wood

We are still arranging accommodation I dont think it is the Holiday Inn so I might save a few quid and get an early night without a Casino.

Sorry not on yesterday.

If I remember rightly they were Brunswick synthetics. They had the targeting boards at the breakpoint.

Heres the link to the Holiday Inn Express. You should try this first and see what discounts they have, tell them youre going to be bowling the Nationals.

Also right on the site are a great all you can eat Chinese and a Frankie and Bennies(yummie ribs). Book for the F&B if you want to use it as soon as you arrive it gets busy with all the bowlers there. Cinema there too. I would definatly try to book the Express Inn as you fall out of bed into the bowl and it makes it easy to practice the night before. The entrance to the bowl is about 20 yards from the bowl You can go down the road to SUBS for a quick snack the day of bowling if you want.

Everything is right in a small complex (nothings more than 20 yards away) with its own multi story car park you dont have to find anything except the way there. We had a great time except for the aproaches. Also maybe the attitude of a few of the "superstars" was a little out of order.

Hope you have a great time. Hope this helps you out.
