Please Pray For... (Updated)
« on: January 10, 2009, 04:13:31 AM »
my girlfriend's dad, Steve Folden of Memphis, and their family. He fell while bowling friday afternoon at 1 due to a massive stroke on his brain stem. He is slowly becoming brain dead along with an increasing fever to add to the paralysis. He fell minutes after shooting a 225 game with his daughter so he was enjoying life as it all happened. Doctors are unsure about whats going to happen but we truely need a miracle. I'd really appreciate it if you can keep the family in your prayers and thoughts.

Many thanks,

Jared

ON UPDATE:

Steve was pronouced brain dead at 1am this morning. His organs are being donated for use in and around TN. The family is holding up rather well all things considering. Thanks to everyone for their prayers!!!

So sorry to hear about this.   However, "His organs are being donated for use in and around TN" is great to hear.

my sinceriest apologies and humblest condolances to you Jared.

Donating the organs is a great thing, he may be gone, but he will save multiple lives, be proud also.

May his legacy live on in those he touched and the memories he created.  A mercy that his organs will be used to bring life to others who might otherwise perish without them.

You have my condolences.

Jared,

My prayers are with you and Steve's family. I was shocked when I found out about this over the weekend. He was always willing to help anyone he encountered and he was as nice as anyone can be. He would help my stepson when he practiced up at Imperial. He has been pretty shook up about it since finding out. The bowling community has lost a fine man.

My condolences for your family's loss.

Tragedy in the loss, but heroism in the reality of his potentially saving the lives of others in the selfless act of donating his organs.
