Weapon of Mass Bias
« on: August 24, 2013, 04:27:32 PM »
I have a Morich Weapon of Mass Bias laying around that I'm considering getting redrilled, but there are large areas of white on the ball. Would it be worth it taking it into the pro shop to have it redrilled, maybe resurfaced?

That kind of color phasing is common with that ball.  The WOMB is a very rolly ball, great for heavier sport conditions.  Make sure you have a good pro shop for the resurface (one that has Trizact system?).  I smoothed mine out once for medium conditions and no matter what I did afterwards, the surface always felt very smooth, almost slick.  It still flared normal, but never had the same grip again.  I tried regular sand paper, abralon and siaair but didn't have trizact which I believe Brunswick covers used at that time.

I used to have a used one of these. I shot my first 300 with it in league in 2005. Not much later it started rolling very poorly for me and I gave it away which kind of regret now. i kept the same drilling just had the thumb redone and was very close to the original plugged drilling on that pick how I had mine. It's a very rolly, control ball.
