Back from Kentucky
« on: July 29, 2004, 05:42:43 AM »
Well, I had a great time visiting friends down in Kentucky this week, and got the chance to bowl twice in Capital Lanes, a 24 lane wooden house in Frankfurt. It's a challenging shot as the highest average in the house last year was low 190's, they definitely leave it dry on the outside 5-6 boards but have a flood from 7 to 7 on both sides. It was probably the first time I was able to use my Barbed Wire for an effective shot from the gutter- posted my highest game with that ball the last game I threw on Wednesday (269). I also had the chance to meet a fellow ballreviews.com poster/lurker, his name is Rod and we talked for an hour or so about the game, the conditions, our arsenals and loads of stories about bowling.

I think with every vacation I'll always sneak my equipment in so I can get a few games in other houses...

Matt
