I read this today on the internets...

"When you play from the gutter, you get the better of the breaks hitting the pocket."

Do you think this is true or false?

I tend to agree but that's if the shot allows it. Most of my better scores and series have come from playing outside of 5.

Better breaks as in carrying pins or better breaks as in less splits?

IMO playing inside carries pins better and playing outside tends to keep you away from splits.
