Scroggins wrist support

Which wrist support was Mike Scroggins using today in the telecast?  It looks like either Robby Revs (I or II), or possibly the Mongoose.

Yep, Storm Xtra Roll.  It is the most like a Mongoose which is what Mike used to wear.  Mongoose is not product registered with the PBA any longer.

Is it sort of flexible like the Mongoose is? I have the Mongoose Lifter but don't like it and seldom use it because it is sort of flexible and not firm like a Moro Pro Release or Roby RevsII or a Gladitor or etc.

The Storm Xtra Roll is a different animal from the Mongoose Lifter (no pun intended ). The Xtra Roll has the strap across the palm while the Lifter has the strap at the base of the fingers.

I have both. It's a matter of preference and feel. The Xtra Roll is a little firmer, but it's also wider, and I've never been completely comfortable with it. Personally, for this type of brace (strap across the palm and full hand/arm support), I prefer the Revs I. But when it comes to braces it's all personal preference and comfort depending on what you're trying to achieve.

For me, the Mongoose Lifter is not firm enough and too flexable on the back of the hand compared to the Pro Release and Gladitor. I just wish the Pro Release wasn't quite so big and bulky. I had a Revs II once which is similar but not so big and bulky and I didn't like it too well so I sold it. Like Steven said, it is a personal preference.

Try the Ebonite Striker it was based on the lifter i was told, it is firmer backing than the lifter which is what i used to use. The new lifter are cheaply made compared to the ones from 6-7 years ago, the Striker feels just like a Lifter but more of a solid feel to it.

Barry, I have an original Striker and used it a lot last year, but for whatever reason I haven't done as well with it this year so I went back to my Pro Release.

Is the Ebonite one the same as the original Strikers? I didn't think they made Strikers any more?

Back to the Mongoose, to me it is almost the same as not using any wrist device as there is not really any enough support to it anywhere to aid anything.

PS: I just looked up the Ebonite Striker on Buddies and it appears different than the original Striker that used to be so popular. I believe some individual used to make the original Striker, but don't recall his name at the moment. I think Scotts 33 knows who I am talking about. Seems his name was Marty something.

I have the Ebonite Striker. Actually just got it a few weeks ago. It's essentially a cheaper made version of the Lifter. The finger strap is flimsier, and overall it's not as refined. I personally don't find the backing any firmer.
