Ball down from Vintage DZ

Would the 900 Global Boost Blue/Black or Fanatic BTU be good ball down's from the DZ? I bowl on a 2nd shift late league at a house that puts out a rather wet/dry house pattern when fresh so you can imagine how the 2nd shift is. I can usually get away using the DZ for game 1, sometimes halfway into game 2 before experiencing heavy "over/under" problems. All my other equipment are ball up for the other house I bowl at, and sadly the DZ is the weakest ball in my bag after my 900 Global Dirty Look kicked it last yr. Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks in advance!!

In my opinion, that's too big of a gap to ball down to,  this past Thursday in our big dog league, I started with my DZ, and had a good look for 2 games, before it started to read to early.   I then balled down to my freak show, which is clean with a strong yet controlled back-end motion.....

I would consider the freakshow, but I've also heard great things about the brunswick fanatic as well, nice smooth motion that is a great light-medium out piece that allows you to play in the track area much longer, good luck to you.

If you experience very light oil/dry lanes then a ball like a Fanatic BTU,  or a Brunswick Rhino would make sense.  :)

I don't know... My Boost Pearl is super strong on the back when there is some friction. If you liked the Dirty Look, try an Encore. Same cover with a much more controllable core.

BTU is a nice ball for keeping your angles in front of you, but not my favorite for when the fronts get toasty as it starts up pretty quick.
Diva XOXO (most similar in shape to DZ but longer) or Freakshow (a little longer through the mids than XOXO) are 2 of my favorites for mid response balls on burn.

That is an important distinction, one which does not often cross our minds in the midst of struggling with a transition. Thank you for reminding us.
